El trabajo semestral del curso se inscribe en la metodología Aprendizaje Servicio; que es algo así como poner el privilegio de nuestra educación, al servicio de una necesidad real de la comunidad.
Para trabajar coordinadamente con los socios comunitarios y cuidar el proceso que haremos con ellos, es que en clases revisamos las ideas éticas y actitudes sociales que deberían guiar nuestro trabajo.
Específicamente: ¿Cómo podrías evaluar, en acciones concretas de tu trabajo con el socio comunitario, el cumplimiento de los valores no transables que escogiste en clases?

Creo que verdaderamente un valor no transable es la confianza. Cuando se trabaja para superar una meta, aunque sea como voluntario, nunca se puede traicionar la confianza, tareas y responzabilidades que a uno le han entregado. Responder a eso es una obligación basada en el respeto por el trabajo que hace el otro y por el compromiso que se entrega de forma consciente y libre a un proposito. martín de mussy
Hace unos días, fuimos a conocer el hogar con el que trabajaremos, es un hogar de mujeres que han sufrido violencia intrafamiliar, y viven con sus hijos o solas ahí... cuando entramos a conocer las instalaciones, los niños corrieron a abrazarnos y nos presentaron a las voluntarias con las que trabajaríamos, es una sensación de riqueza y de profundo compromiso, pues la gente está depositando su confianza, su respeto y su cariño también.
Compromiso,confianza, cariño, respeto; valores no transables que se deben mantener en el transcurso de este trabajo, y en el trabajo que haremos durante toda nuestra vida como profesionales.
A mi modo de ver el profesionalismo es indipensable cuando se trabaja con otros. Profesionalismo implica un trabajo bien hecho. Con responsabilidad y esfuerzo. Pero el trabajo con un socio comunitario no es cualquier trabajo que se entrega y queda realizado. Acá hay un modo especial de trato, de confianza mutua, de respeto, de sencillez. En esta línea me parece que la mejor manera de realizar nuestro trabajo es buscar las necesiades del socio, no las nuestras. Atender a ellas de la mejor manera posible. Resultado que se verá no sólo en el producto final, sino en la constante relación que exista entre ambos.
Concuerdo con Ignacia, y de hecho el profesionalismo fue uno de los valores que nosotros como grupo le dimos especial énfasis. Porque creo que el profesionalismo implica la realización del trabajo a cabalidad: de manera responsable, ingeniosa, comprometida y con mucho respeto de por medio. Y ese es nuestro objetivo: trabajar codo a codo con el socio comunitario y desarrollar un profesionalismo mutuo.
Estoy de acuerdo con todos los valores mencionado - respeto, profesionalismo, confianza. Tambien es muy importante que siempre tengamos cuidado que estamos trabajando CON la organizacion/comunidad local, no solamente imponiendo nuestras ideas y proyectos hacia ellas. Para ser util y para funcionar los proyectos, es crucial que hablemos con la organizacion/comunidad sobre lo que quieren, lo que piensan, lo que saben. Este es porque nuestro grupo dijemos que reciprocidad fue una valor no transable.
Recuerdo leyendo sobre un proyecto en Tailandia donde una ONG puso un pozo en una comunidad para dar agua potable. Porque este ONG no trabajó con la comunidad para explicar que fue el pozo, como pudo ser util y como funciono, la gente en la comunidad estaban poniendo su agua sucio y usado en el pozo para salvarla (porque antes del pozo habian estado reciclando todo su agua).
Para funcionar mejor, un proyecto necesita una relacion reciproco entre voluntarios y la ONG/comunidad, y los dos deben estar involucrado en la planificacion del proyecto.
